The 32mm diameter bird hole makes for the perfect abode for Blue tits, Coal tits Marsh tits, Great tits, Nuthatches, House sparrows, Tree sparrows and many others.

Keeping the house clean will help keep your birds healthy, happy and coming back for more.
If you do want to protect your birdhouse further, use a water-based preservative.
Such paint/preservative types are clearly marked on the container and are available from most hardware shops.

After the end of each breeding season, all nest boxes should be taken down and the old nesting materials removed, clean with boiling water to kill any parasites.

Fix to a tree or wall.
The height above ground is not critical - just make sure the house is out of reach of inquisitive humans and curious cats.
It is best to mount a box facing somewhere between south-east and north, this will avoid strong direct sunlight.
