Keep unwanted flying insects away from your main seating and outdoor living areas using this traditional honey pot-style Glass Wasp Trap.

Sprays and baits can be helpful but generally contain toxins. A safer, NON-TOXIC way to minimise flying insects is to use our Glass Wasp Trap.

To attract wasps, simply add water, vinegar and sugar. Wasps and flies enter the trap through the hole in the bottom and become trapped, as while flying in proves easy enough, insects struggle to find the exit.

Hang it or stand it anywhere outdoors
Hang the trap from a tree branch or hook, or stand it on any flat surface. Glass feet allow a gap for insects to crawl inside, and the wide metal hanger will fit around most branches.

BAIT TIPS
1. If you are worried about attracting honeybees, add a teaspoon of vinegar to the water.
2. Try adding meat for early-season use. In spring and late winter, wasps are making nests, laying eggs and searching for high-protein food. You may even catch a queen this way, in which case the wasps will relocate their nest.

Instructions for use

1. Choose your bait. A simple bait is water mixed with a tablespoon of sugar. Boil the water, dissolve the sugar, cool and pour into the trap.
2. To target wasps without luring bees, consider beer or a high-protein bait such as meat. Hang away from flowering plants and fruit trees.
3. Make sure the catcher is empty, then fill it with bait by removing the cork and pouring it into the bottom reservoir (do not overfill).
4. Replace the cork.
5. Hang from a branch or hook well away from where you sit and enjoy your garden free from pesky wasps.

Humane release option
Those wishing to release the insects afterwards should do so carefully without making them feel threatened, to avoid a sting.
